As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Accelerator Business Platform team, you are at the heart of how we build and scale our products. You'll work alongside experienced engineers to design, build, and operate the cloud-native platform infrastructure that enables our product teams to move fast and safely. Job responsibilities

Develop secure, high-quality production code and participate in code reviews, with guidance and mentorship from senior engineers

Contribute to the design and development of composable infrastructure systems and capabilities that support developer productivity

Build, operate, and maintain Kubernetes-based platform services, developer self-service tooling, and CI/CD workflows

Identify and automate remediation of recurring operational issues to improve platform stability and reliability

Provide operational support for production systems in a "you-build-it-you-run-it" culture, including active participation in incident response

Apply platform security and controls practices through infrastructure as code, policy-as-code, and hardening standardsContinuously expand your knowledge of cloud-native technologies and emerging platform engineering practices

Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards

Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient applied experience

Hands-on experience with software development, testing, and troubleshooting in a professional or project-based environment

Proficiency, or a strong working foundation, in one or more programming languages such as Go, Java, or Kotlin

Working understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and secure development practices

Foundational understanding of cloud and container technologies, including core Kubernetes concepts

Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow within cloud-native platform engineering on a major cloud provider such as Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure

Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs

Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Exposure to Kubernetes, containerization, and related cloud-native tooling

Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Crossplane, Terraform, or equivalent frameworks

Awareness of, or hands-on interest in, GitOps workflows and the Kubernetes operator pattern

Experience contributing to developer platform or internal tooling initiatives
