Responsibilities
• Develop, test, and deploy backend services and APIs using technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, C#, PHP, and Ruby on Rails.
• Design and optimize database schemas for MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and other database systems to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Implement RESTful and SOAP web services to facilitate communication between different software components.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI elements built with Angular, React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for cohesive application functionality.
• Utilize cloud platforms like AWS and Azure to deploy scalable microservices architectures while ensuring security best practices.
• Conduct debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of backend systems to maintain high availability and responsiveness.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards within the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
Requirements
• Proven experience in software development with a strong focus on backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, or C#.
• Proficiency in database design and management using MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, XML/SOAP web services, and API integration techniques.
• Familiarity with front-end development frameworks including Angular or React for seamless collaboration with UI teams.
• Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS or Azure for deploying and managing applications at scale.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), MVC architecture patterns, UML diagrams for system design, and version control tools like Git or SVN.
• Experience working within Linux environments using shell scripting or Bash for automation tasks.
• Ability to perform debugging efficiently using tools like Visual Studio or Eclipse while adhering to SDLC best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new technologies such as WCF, Web Services (SOAP/REST), SSRS/SSIS reporting tools, and application security protocols.
