Job Title: Senior Consultant / Lead – Snowflake Platform Engineer

*Location:* UK (Hybrid/Remote – as per client requirement)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced *Senior Consultant / Lead* with strong expertise in *Snowflake, GitHub, and Octopus Deploy* to lead the design, implementation, and deployment of modern cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, DevOps, CI/CD automation, and cloud technologies, with the ability to mentor teams and drive technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions using Snowflake.

• Lead the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Octopus Deploy.

• Build and maintain secure, automated deployment processes for cloud-based data platforms.

• Develop and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines for large-scale data processing.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Ensure platform security, governance, and compliance best practices are followed.

• Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements.

• Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across project teams.

• Participate in solution architecture, code reviews, and technical design discussions.

• Drive DevOps best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–20 years of IT experience with strong expertise in data engineering and cloud technologies.

• Hands-on experience with *Snowflake* administration, development, and performance optimization.

• Strong experience using *GitHub* for source code management and version control.

• Expertise in *Octopus Deploy* for release management and deployment automation.

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as *Azure, AWS, or GCP*.

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and data integration frameworks.

• Experience with scripting languages such as *Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting*.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or similar).

• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with Azure DevOps or other DevOps tools.

• Snowflake or cloud certifications are desirable.

• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
