Lead AI Engineer (VP) – Generative AI

We’re hiring a Lead AI Engineer (VP) to spearhead a GenAI feature team building production-grade AI applications used daily by thousands of employees with a well known bank. You'll be part of a dedicated department tasked with replacing the entire current stack with a new agentic stack.

What you’ll do

Lead design, build and deployment of GenAI solutions end-to-end

Act as an SME shaping Generative AI strategy

Mentor engineers and drive engineering excellence, security and quality

Partner with senior stakeholders in a highly regulated environment

What we’re looking for

Strong Python engineering background

Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt optimisation and evaluation

AWS experience (Bedrock, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, Lex)

Experience delivering AI in regulated or complex organisations

Bonus: DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform/CloudFormation, Docker, ECS/EKS

Experience with LangGraph, Google ADK

It's a hybrid role based in London or Knutsford, whatever suits best from your location.
