We're scaling the engineering team at a fast-growing deep tech company

I'm partnered with a deep tech company building at the frontier of UK technology, working on genuinely hard problems with real-world impact (humanitarian, surveillance and defence). The team is growing fast, and I'm running engineering hiring across three tracks. If you're UK-based, want serious technical challenge, and like the idea of work that matters read on.

Software Engineer up to £120,000 depending on experience / London - 4 to 5 days in office

Backend, frontend or full stack. 4+ years' experience, with a couple of junior slots open (1+ year) for exceptional early-career engineers.

Backend: C++, Java, Rust or Python

Frontend: TypeScript/JavaScript with Angular or React

Deployed Software Engineer up to £120,000 depending on experience · London base + regular travel

A field-facing engineering role for someone who likes getting out of the office. Weekly travel to UK and overseas sites, sometimes for extended stretches, working directly with the people using what we build.

3 to 4+ years, with networking and hardware exposure

Excellent communication is essential, this role is as much about people as code

Lead Software Engineer up to £150,000 depending on experience · London · 4 to 5 days in office

For an engineer moving toward technical leadership who wants to stay 100% hands-on. You'll own technical decisions for an area of the core enterprise product, splitting your time between writing code and mentoring/reviewing.

Same core stack as the SWE track

You've led small teams (2–3) or mentored junior engineers

Interest in DevSecOps or database work is a plus
