Our client is a market-leading technology business seeking an exceptional Junior Software Engineer to join their high-performing engineering team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented developer with 2+ years of commercial experience who is looking to accelerate their career while working on technically challenging projects alongside some of the brightest engineers in the industry.

Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll be involved in:

Designing and developing high-performance, scalable software solutions.

Writing clean, maintainable and efficient production code.

Building modern applications using industry-leading technologies.

Collaborating with experienced engineers to deliver innovative products.

Identifying performance improvements and solving complex technical challenges.

Contributing to code reviews and engineering best practices.

We're Looking For

A minimum of 2 years' commercial software engineering experience.

Strong commercial experience in C++, Python, Rust, React or kdb+ (experience across multiple technologies is highly desirable).

An outstanding academic background, including a First-Class or strong 2:1 degree in Computer Science (or a closely related discipline) from a leading university.

Excellent understanding of algorithms, data structures and software engineering fundamentals.

A genuine passion for technology, innovation and continuous learning.

Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Points For

Linux development experience.

Exposure to distributed systems or low-latency/high-performance systems.

Experience with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices.

Financial services, trading systems or data-intensive application experience.
