Senior Data Engineer

Private Equity Real Estate

Location: London

Working: 5 days per week onsite (non-negotiable)

Package: Up to £120k Total Compensation

The Role

An opportunity to join a highly successful private equity investment firm as they continue to invest in their data platform and engineering capabilities.

You'll play a key role in building and evolving the firm's cloud-based data platform, developing scalable data pipelines, integrating internal and external data sources, and delivering high-quality data that directly supports investment decisions.

This is a hands-on engineering role in a fast-paced environment, working closely with investment, finance and asset management teams. You'll also mentor two junior Data Engineers while owning day-to-day technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build and optimise scalable data pipelines and ETL processes

Integrate internal and external data sources using APIs and scripting

Build and enhance cloud-based data infrastructure using AWS/GCP and SQL

Drive automation and continuous improvements across the data platform

Ensure data quality, governance and reliability across datasets

Develop reporting and analytics solutions to support commercial decision-making

Partner closely with business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions

Mentor and support two junior Data Engineers

Key Requirements

4+ years' experience in Data Engineering or a similar role

Strong SQL and Python development experience

Solid experience with Snowflake (essential)

Experience building cloud-based data platforms (AWS and/or GCP)

Experience working with APIs and integrating multiple data sources

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

Previous mentoring or coaching experience is desirable

Please note:

5 days per week onsite in Mayfair, London
