Company Description
Adexis is a London-based frontier research lab solving dexterous manipulation to achieve physical general intelligence, backed by leading investors and top-tier researchers from Anthropic, ElevenLabs, and Google DeepMind.
Job Description
As a founding hire at Adexis, you will architect the real-time systems connecting AI models to physical hardware. You will build high-rate sensor nodes and the inference stack that serves as the robot's nervous system, ensuring every signal is processed with hard real-time precision to enable reliable, complex dexterous manipulation in the real world.
Location
London, UK
Why this role is remarkable
Join a talent-dense founding team modeled after history’s greatest labs like Bell Labs and the Manhattan Project to solve the hardest problems in robotics.
Work alongside elite researchers from Anthropic, ElevenLabs, and Google DeepMind on a mission to bring machines the power of touch and reach physical general intelligence.
Influence the fundamental architecture of the nervous system for next-generation robots, moving research out of notebooks and onto reliable hardware systems.
What You Will Do
Develop and own the inference node, running complex policies on physical hardware under hard real-time constraints and tight timing guarantees.
Build sensor nodes that synchronize and stream multi-modal data, including high-rate force and contact signals, to provide the robot with a sense of touch.
Own the entire stack's synchronization and latency, ensuring hardware components like arms, hands, and sensors work together as one reliable, high-performance system.
The ideal candidate
Proven experience building and shipping real-time robotics systems onto hardware that runs reliably in production environments, not just in controlled demonstrations.
Fluent in low-latency systems programming and deeply familiar with the nuances of sensor timing, data synchronization, and signal drift in physical systems.
Demonstrated ability to integrate unfamiliar sensors and actuators from technical datasheets into working nodes with clean interfaces and robust performance.
