What You'll Be Doing
Design and develop scalable backend services using modern Java and the Spring ecosystem.
Build secure, high-performance REST APIs and distributed microservices.
Contribute to architecture decisions, system design, and technical strategy.
Improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance across cloud-based environments.
Champion engineering best practices through code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver business-critical solutions.
Mentor developers and help foster a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
Explore emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, to improve engineering productivity.
Drive automation and reduce manual processes across the software delivery lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
You'll have strong commercial experience with most of the following:
Java (8+) and the Spring Boot ecosystem
RESTful API development
Microservices and distributed architectures
Spring Security, OAuth2 and JWT
Hibernate / JPA
SQL and NoSQL databases
Event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ
Docker and container-based deployments
Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar
Git-based development workflows
Observability tools including logging, metrics and tracing
Automated testing across unit, integration and functional levels
Maven or Gradle
Performance tuning and Java concurrency
Exposure to technologies such as Spring Cloud, WebFlux, reactive programming, or AI-assisted software development would be advantageous.
