An exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer has arisen with an exciting start-up developing next-generation wildfire prediction technology, based in London.

As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and improving the company’s core wildfire spread simulation engine. Working across C++ and Python, you will develop physics-based numerical models, build data pipelines for experimentation and validation, and transform mathematical and physical concepts into accurate, high-performance software.

This is a hybrid role, requiring you onsite 2 days a week.

Experience Of The Software Engineer Will Include

Strong C++ and Python programming skills for scientific computing

Experience developing and validating physics-based numerical models, such as computational fluid dynamics (CFD), combustion, heat transfer, atmospheric dynamics, meteorology, weather forecasting, or stochastic simulation

Desired: Experience with parallel computing, HPC, GPU acceleration or CUDA
