Software Engineer | London or Cheltenham | Hybrid

I'm working with a fast-growing, values-driven technology consultancy that delivers software solutions for UK public sector and national security clients - genuinely mission-led work, protecting the UK through data-driven solutions.

They're looking for a Software Engineer to join the team and work directly with clients to design, build and ship high-quality software.

UK-based | Hybrid (2-3 days in London or Cheltenham)

Salary: £45,000–£61,000

Due to clients’ requirements, all applications are strictly subject to security clearance requirements relevant to the role + Candidate MUST be sole UK passport holder

Software Engineer - A bit about the role:

Designing, developing, testing and implementing software using strong engineering practices

Working across multiple languages - Python, Java, C++, Rust or Go

Building secure, clean, well-documented, scalable systems

Working in Unix/Linux environments, with cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, orchestration)

Working closely with clients to shape requirements and deliver iteratively (Agile/Scrum)

What they're after:

Professional software engineering experience, ideally in consultancy or industry

Strong across one or more of Python, Java, C++, Rust or Go

Comfortable with databases, cloud platforms, DevOps and software security principles

Someone who communicates well and enjoys client-facing work
