AI Engineering Manager - Gen AI
£95,000 + bonus + excellent benefits / Pension
London – 2 days per week
I'm currently working with a company at the forefront of the payments industry as they look to bring in an AI Engineering Manager to help shape and grow their AI capability.
You'll be combining hands-on AI/GenAI engineering with people leadership, working across the development and delivery of practical AI solutions while leading and mentoring a small team.
We're looking for someone with:
Strong hands-on AI/ML/GenAI engineering experience
Proven experience building and delivering GenAI/LLM solutions
Experience with LLMs, RAG, AI agents or similar GenAI technologies
Strong experience with Microsoft’s AI stack, ideally Azure AI, Azure AI Foundry / Microsoft Foundry, Copilot Studio and Microsoft Fabric
Experience taking AI solutions from PoC through to production
Experience mentoring, coaching or technically leading other engineers/data professionals
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience translating business problems into practical AI solutions
Microsoft experience is highly desirable, but strong AWS, GCP or other modern AI platform experience will also be considered
