We arerecruiting an EMEA Director of Technical Excellence to join our team.

The Director of Engineering and Technical services providesstrategic leadership for engineering and technical services across the EMEAregion. This role represents thisplatform expertise, enabling accounts to deliver best in class FM EngineeringOperations. The director will directly manage the Technical directors in thegroup, a wider group of resources within the country platforms and accounts andbring together the full EMEA technical network.

The ideal candidate is a strong engineering operationsleader, able to influence account technical FM delivery and drive keyengineering initiatives such as incident response, root cause analysis,technical business cases and deep dive into specifical technical workstreams. Atechnical SME with deep experience in areas such as (but not limited to)reliability engineering, HV/LV, BMS, Pressure, Confined space, Mechanical,HVAC, maintenance services and engineering toolkits within the FM environment.It is expected that their technical expertise is broad, covering othertechnical areas such as such data analytics, Technology, BIM, intelligentbuildings, ESG, and integrated control systems. The engineering and technical services team is a key function to thebusiness, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency, exemplary health andsafety standards and representing a major differentiator for CBRE in EMEA.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management:

Lead and manage the EMEA Technical team,including the technical network.

Manage Technical Appointments for UK&I(primarily) and oversee EMEA.

Support technical talent development, includingapprenticeship and training

programmes. Attract, retain, train talent.

Work with country team to establish and maintaina framework for technical competence across the EMEA workforce (tools,training, audits)

Fulfil Country SLA for Technical function withinbudget (support to the business for EMEA accounts)

Technical Support & Operational Excellence

Serve as the primary point of contact foroperational technical support and engineering advice to accounts, aligned withspecific global sectors.

Lead the implementation of initiatives from theEngineering & Technical Excellence global programme across EMEA.

Co-ordinate technical input for new accounttransitions, site technical reviews (including peer reviews and due diligence),and mobilisations.

Lead technical input for contract renewals andservice expansions.

Governance for ‘in-country’ technical compliancerules and regulations

Technical Excellence: EMEA County Operations

Liaise with intercompany Technical Leadership toensure alignment on business activities

Liaise with country leadership for technicalleadership

Provide a framework of technical competence forthe EMEA technical workforce; with tools, training, audits. This is to attract,retain, promote and support the workforce.

What You Need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, BuildingServices or a related field of technical services. Or equivalent experience inthe field.

Excellent leadership skills to hold matrix teamsto account and own delivery.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills withthe ability to communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technicalstakeholders.

Strong credibility in delivering Engineering Services,technical delivery of maintenance and management of technical programmes.

Knowledge of industry-standard reliability engineeringtools and technologies.

Management of Risks associated with operating andmaintaining critical systems in buildings.

Deep experience with Engineering Services and hardservices delivery.

Detailed knowledge in the FM operations of engineersand technicians to deliver services.

Experience working in a global organisation withthe ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from different regionsand cultures.
