Trading Systems UI Engineer - Real Time Applications

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop high-performance front-end applications using React.

Build intuitive, real-time user interfaces used by front-office trading teams.

Collaborate closely with product owners, users and stakeholders to deliver new functionality.

Contribute to architectural decisions and drive engineering best practices.

Optimise application performance and user workflows across complex, data-intensive platforms.

Develop reusable components, shared libraries and scalable UI frameworks.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design through to production support.

Key Requirements

Strong commercial experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development.

Experience building complex, business-critical web applications.

Exposure to real-time data, streaming applications or event-driven systems.

Experience within financial services, capital markets or electronic trading environments.

Exposure to trading platforms, market data systems or analytics applications.

Experience with technologies such as Redux, RxJS, AG Grid, WebSockets or OpenFin.

Previous involvement in architectural design, mentoring or technical leadership

Strong understanding of front-end architecture, performance optimisation and UI design principles.

Experience working closely with business stakeholders and end users.

Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building high-quality software
