You will lead the dominAI team, owning people leadership and end-to-end delivery for a multidisciplinary squad of AI, simulation, and web engineers. By bridging the gap between exploratory research and agile software delivery, you will ship AI-assisted tools that help defence analysts model complex courses of action in high-stakes environments.

What You Will Do

Own the delivery roadmap for the dominAI product, translating high-level product goals into executable sprint plans and reliable commitments for senior stakeholders.

Line-manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of specialists, fostering a culture of engineering craft through direct feedback and dedicated career development.

Drive the end-to-end hiring process to build out your sub-team, defining required talent profiles and scaling the headcount ahead of product roadmap needs.

The ideal candidate

Proven track record of managing software engineering teams with specific experience leading AI/ML or research-oriented specialists through agile software delivery cycles.

Strong technical foundation in modern web stacks, specifically TypeScript, React, and Node, with a desire to remain hands-on and contribute to the codebase.

Ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Vetted (SC) status and a history of partnering with Product teams to negotiate scope and priorities.
