Data Engineer – 12-Month FTC – Remote
We are recruiting for an experienced Data Engineer to support a large-scale data and analytics programme. You will develop the data structures, pipelines and processes required to deliver reliable and reusable datasets for reporting and analysis.
This is an initial 12-month fixed-term contract with a strong likelihood of extension.
What you will be doing:
Design and maintain scalable data models and reusable datasets
Build automated ETL/ELT pipelines across multiple source systems
Integrate new data sources into the existing data landscape
Monitor pipelines and resolve data-quality issues
Implement data validation and reconciliation processes
Translate reporting requirements into practical data solutions
Maintain documentation covering data structures, transformations and lineage
Improve automation, reliability and efficiency across data processes
What we’re looking for:
Strong Data Engineering experience
Advanced SQL and data-modelling skills
Experience with ETL/ELT and analytical databases
Experience integrating multiple data sources
Good understanding of data quality and governance
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
Experience with SAP, SAP Business Data Cloud, BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, Python or cloud data platforms would be advantageous.
