SecOps Engineer
London (office based 4 days per week)

We’re looking for a talented and proactive Security Operations Engineer to join our clients growing team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player managing data centres (hardware and software) and cloud footprint with a focus on information security. You will be responsible for strengthening and operating security controls across infrastructure, networks, systems and data.
Responsibilities:
Systems hardening through configuration, scripting, port and configuration scanning activities
Vulnerability management
Disaster recovery
Enforce data security
Extending OSS tools (written mostly in Go or Python)
Strengthening network security
Implementing an asset management solution
Establishing a solid and efficient backup and archival solution, using cloud based and on prem resources
Keep up to date with emerging threats, attack techniques and security best practices
Skills:
Proven experience in security operations or infrastructure security role
Knowledge of storage systems, front and middle office trading and risk systems
Demonstrated knowledge of managing routers, firewalls and other critical network components
Ideally MS or BS in Computer Science, Engineering or similar
CI/CD tooling, such as Jenkins, Jira or Git
Proficiency in Linux
IaC scripting (such as Terraform)
Strong understanding of file systems
Outstanding knowledge of at least on programming language, such as Bash, Go, Python etc
