Building great trading strategies requires great engineering.
We're looking for an experienced Python Developer to work alongside Quantitative Researchers, designing and building the software that underpins research, analytics and live trading. You'll join a highly technical environment where engineering quality, performance and collaboration are valued just as highly as innovation.
This isn't a traditional application development role. You'll help create the tools, workflows and platforms that enable researchers to move quickly from ideas to production, taking ownership throughout the full software lifecycle.
What you'll be doing
Partnering with Quantitative Researchers to build software supporting research and trading
Developing scalable Python applications and workflows
Designing high-performance solutions for processing and analysing large datasets
Collaborating with engineering teams to build reusable software components
Taking ownership from design through to deployment and ongoing improvement
Supporting business-critical systems within a modern engineering environment
We're looking for
Strong commercial Python development experience (4+ years)
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance or a similar technical discipline
Experience designing robust, scalable software
Understanding of data processing, storage and analysis
Experience with modern software engineering practices including Git and Agile
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with highly technical stakeholders
Desirable experience
C++ or KDB+/q
Quantitative or financial engineering experience
CI/CD pipelines
Logging and monitoring platforms
Database technologies
Software architecture and solution design
