We are supporting our client with a cloud engineering and automation programme and are seeking an experienced Logging & Inventory Cloud Engineer.

This role will focus on enhancing cloud visibility, inventory management, monitoring capabilities and automation across complex multi-cloud environments.

Role: Logging & Inventory Cloud Engineer

Day rate: £400 – 450 per day (inside IR35)

Pay framework: Umbrella Company

Location: London office - Hybrid - 4 days a week in the office, 1 day WFH

Duration: 6 months initially (with potential extension)

Contract Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement and maintain logging, monitoring and inventory management solutions across cloud platforms.

Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.

Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

Develop scripts and tooling using Python and Shell scripting.

Support cloud engineering activities across AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Drive improvements in cloud observability, monitoring and operational reporting.

Manage and optimise containerised workloads where required.

Work closely with engineering and platform teams to improve cloud governance and operational controls.

Support cloud asset discovery, inventory management and configuration management initiatives.

Essential Skills/Experience

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Proven experience delivering logging, monitoring and inventory management solutions within cloud environments.

Strong Python development and automation skills.

Extensive experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.

Strong Shell scripting capabilities.

Demonstrated experience driving automation initiatives.

Experience working with Kubernetes and/or containerisation technologies.
