We're looking for an AI Automation Engineer to join a growing AI and Automation function. This role offers the chance to build practical AI solutions that are deployed into live business environments.

What you'll be doing

This AI Automation Engineer will help create AI agents, automation workflows and scalable technical solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their career within a supportive team environment.

You'll develop AI-powered tools, workflow automations and Python services used across multiple business functions. You'll work with Azure, integrate systems through APIs and contribute to engineering best practice. The role offers plenty of variety and ongoing opportunities to develop your technical expertise whilst working on innovative projects that are delivering genuine operational improvements.

What experience you'll need to apply

Commercial experience building AI, automation or software engineering solutions within an established organisation

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio

Experience developing applications and automations using Python

Exposure to AI agents, LLMs, generative AI or workflow orchestration technologies

Experience delivering solutions into live production environments

Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in AI technologies

Experience working with Azure

Experience building integrations using APIs and connecting systems through automation workflows

Experience within financial services, insurance, tax, professional services or another regulated environment would be beneficial

Please note that this role is best suited to candidates who have been applying AI within a commercial business environment rather than solely through freelance, consultancy or personal projects

Location & Working Pattern

This role can be based from either Birmingham, London or Manchester, with a hybrid working model of three days per week in the office.
