This is an opportunity for a technically minded individual to join us as a Software Development Engineer in Test

Work in customer-focused agile squads and collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to define the next iteration of NatWest Boxed

Hone your existing software engineering skills and advance your career in this critical role

What you'll do

You’ll be working collaboratively across our missions to define and continually improve our testing strategy for new and existing products. You'll also drive the direction of our testing chapter to ensure it maintains the highest standards of technology and process.

You’ll also be:

Developing clean, elegant and reusable code that is easy to maintain and extend

Building scalable automated testing systems that enable us to ship value to customers at pace

Supporting other engineers to test their software and act as a subject matter expert

Working with stakeholders across the business to shape the future of quality engineering at NatWest Boxed and put long-term interests of our customers at the heart of key decisions

The skills you'll need

You’ll need hands-on experience with common back end test automation frameworks, and integrating these into the continuous deployment pipeline. We are also looking for people with an awareness of cloud infrastructure and configuration.

You’ll also need:

Hands on experience with ReactNative, front-end test automation frameworks and integrating these into the continuous deployment pipeline

Knowledge of software performance and automates security testing techniques and tooling

A strong understanding of Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)

Experience delivering and testing distributed microservices as part of an agile team
