Lead .NET Software Engineer – Cloud SaaS / AI Engineering - 4 days WFH - £95,000

We’re partnering with a high-growth SaaS technology business looking for a Lead .NET Software Engineer to help shape the future of a cloud-native platform used by some of the UK’s largest enterprise organisations.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on architecture, modern engineering practices, cloud-native development, and AI-augmented software delivery.

You’ll play a key role in scaling a next-generation SaaS platform built on .NET 9 and Azure, helping drive the evolution from a successful legacy product into a modern, distributed cloud architecture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Own and evolve technical architecture across a large-scale SaaS platform

Lead complex engineering initiatives, proof of concepts, and cross-team technical delivery

Drive modern engineering standards across code quality, testing, observability, and operational readiness

Shape architectural decisions across modular monolith and distributed system patterns

Champion Domain-Driven Design and event-driven architecture approaches

Support the adoption of AI-assisted development tooling and engineering workflows

Mentor engineers through design reviews, technical coaching, and collaborative problem solving

Partner closely with Product, Platform, QA, and Engineering leadership teams

What We’re Looking For:

Strong experience leading engineering initiatives within complex SaaS or enterprise environments

Deep expertise in .NET and cloud-native architecture

Experience designing scalable distributed systems and modern software platforms

Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design, event-driven systems, and modern architectural patterns

Experience with Azure cloud technologies and DevOps practices

Exposure to AI-assisted development tooling such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code or similar

Strong stakeholder communication and mentoring capability
