Method Resourcing are delighted to partner with a prestigious Asset Manager based in the City of London looking to hire a Data Engineer to join their talented team. This role works closely in a small team with the Head of IT, with broad stakeholder engagement across the wider business.

The role is initially focused on "pure" Data Engineering with a later focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning as the business incorporate these technologies over time.

City of London based, 2/3 days a week in the office.

Responsibilities:

Data Platform & Quality

Maintain the data platform for reliability, performance and integrity

Monitor data flows, resolve quality issues and identify root causes with colleagues

Run validation, reconciliation and exception reporting for operational/regulatory needs

Engineering & Automation

Build and improve SQL pipelines, ETL processes and Snowflake solutions

Strengthen data architecture, governance, metadata and lineage

Automate manual processes and support practical AI solutions across the business

Business Engagement

Partner with Operations, Investments, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Compliance and Client Services to translate needs into solutions

Advise on data/automation/AI initiatives and report on key quality metrics

Support the firm's wider data and technology strategy

Continuous Improvement

Simplify processes, challenge the status quo, and improve automation

Help build controls that reduce risk and improve data confidence

About you:

Advanced SQL - the ability to write, optimise, and troubleshoot complex queries

Technical degree ideally in a STEM subject

2+ years relevant industry experience

Experience in Financial Services nice to have

Experience with Snowflake nice to have
