Salary: Up to £80,000

Manchester, Leeds, Blackpool or Newcastle: hybrid, 3 days a week on site

Our client is a multi-award-winning digital consultancy that builds and runs services for UK government departments, the sort of platforms tens of millions of people end up using without ever thinking about it. This role is a hands-on engineering seat on their data team, where you'll design, build and support the Azure data platforms underneath that work.

You'll build pipelines in Azure Data Factory (ADF), model and optimise in Synapse, store and process in Data Lake, and stand the whole lot up as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, deployed through GitLab CI/CD. Three days a week on site is fixed.

Non-Negotiables

Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure

Azure Data Factory (ADF): production pipelines you've built and owned

Azure Synapse Analytics: development and optimisation

Azure Data Lake: storage and processing

Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

GitLab, including GitLab CI/CD

Data pipeline development: design, build, tune, fix

Cloud data architecture and integration patterns
