Who we are
winterchill operates jobs.winterchill.xyz. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@winterchill.xyz.
What we collect
- Account info — if you sign in, your email and (from Google/GitHub) name and avatar, managed through AWS Cognito.
- CV content — the CV text you paste or upload, and the profile parsed from it, so we can match and improve it.
- Preferences & feedback — saved CVs, filters, 👍/👎 votes, and alert settings.
- Usage & analytics — basic analytics via Google Analytics, loaded only after you accept cookies.
How we use it & who processes it
We use your data only to provide the service: showing the board, matching jobs to your CV, generating tailoring and improvement suggestions, and (if you opt in) emailing you new matches. To do this we share the necessary data with processors:
- Anthropic (Claude) — your CV text, to generate matches and rewrites.
- Voyage AI — to create the embeddings that power CV-to-job matching.
- Amazon Web Services — hosting, sign-in (Cognito), and alert email (SES).
- Google Analytics — usage analytics, consent-gated.
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't sell job data as a product.
Cookies
We use a strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in, store your cookie choice and theme, and (only if you accept) an analytics cookie. You choose via the consent banner; nothing analytics-related runs until you accept.
How long we keep it
Anonymous "paste to sort" CV sessions expire after about 30 days. Saved CVs, votes, and preferences are kept until you delete them or close your account. You can delete a saved CV or reset learned preferences any time from your profile.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or object to certain processing — email hello@winterchill.xyz. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
