We’re partnering with a global technology business that is investing heavily in the future of mobile engineering and looking for an experienced Tech Lead (iOS or Android) to help shape the next generation of mobile experiences.

This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative, product-led engineering environment where mobile is central to the customer experience. You’ll play a key role in defining technical direction, driving engineering excellence, and embedding an AI-first mindset into how teams build, ship and scale software.

The Opportunity

As a Mobile Tech Lead, you’ll combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership, helping teams deliver high-quality mobile applications at scale. While this role can be either iOS or Android focused, we’re particularly interested in individuals who understand the wider mobile ecosystem and ideally bring some cross-platform experience to help inform technical decisions across multiple technologies.

You’ll work closely with engineering leaders, product, design and platform teams to establish best practices, improve delivery standards, and champion modern development approaches, including practical adoption of AI across the software lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading the technical direction for native mobile engineering across either iOS or Android.

Driving engineering best practices across architecture, testing, CI/CD, observability, security and performance.

Acting as a mentor and technical coach, helping engineers raise the bar through collaboration, code reviews and technical leadership.

Championing an AI-first engineering culture, identifying opportunities to leverage AI tooling to improve productivity, accelerate delivery and enhance code quality.

Working across mobile teams to help shape scalable solutions and technical consistency across platforms.

Bringing a pragmatic approach to native and cross-platform decision making, understanding when different technologies are best applied.

Partnering closely with Product, Design and Backend teams to solve complex technical and business challenges.

Remaining hands-on where needed, contributing to production code and solving complex technical problems.

What We’re Looking For

Strong experience building and scaling native mobile applications in either iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) or Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose).

Proven experience in a Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer or Lead Mobile Engineer role.

Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns, scalability, maintainability and performance optimisation.

Experience driving engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, release management and code quality standards.

Ideally, exposure to cross-platform technologies such as React Native, Flutter or Kotlin Multiplatform, or experience operating in environments supporting both native and hybrid applications.

A strong interest in AI-enabled engineering, with curiosity around how modern AI tooling can improve workflows and software delivery.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical direction across teams.

Experience working within a global technology environment.

Why Join?
